Learn when you can cancel a CrossPay transfer, how refunds reach your card, bank or wallet, and how automatic refunds work if a payout fails after collection.
You can cancel a transfer from your dashboard if it has not yet been collected.
| Status | Can Cancel? | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Created | Yes | Transfer is cancelled immediately |
| Collecting | Yes | Collection is stopped, refund initiated |
| Collected / Paying Out | No | Payout is already in progress |
| Completed | No | Funds have been delivered |
If your payment has already been collected when you cancel:
If a transfer fails during payout (e.g., incorrect recipient details), your money is not lost. Many refunds start automatically within minutes of the failure; the rest are initiated by our team after reviewing what went wrong — you will be notified by email either way. You can also use Try again on the failed transfer to start a new transfer with corrected details. If a failed transfer has not been refunded or explained within 24 hours, contact support.
If you need to cancel a transfer that is already in progress, contact support immediately via the chat widget or email support@crosspay.me.
