If your payment was declined, there are several common causes and solutions.

Common Reasons

1. Insufficient funds: Check that your account or card has enough balance to cover the transfer amount plus fees
2. Card restrictions: Some Nigerian banks restrict international or online transactions by default
3. Daily card limit: Your bank may have a daily spending limit on your card
4. Expired card: Ensure your card has not expired
5. 3D Secure failure: If you did not complete the OTP or authentication step, the payment will fail

How to Fix It

1. Check your balance — ensure sufficient funds are available
2. Enable online transactions — contact your bank or use their mobile app to enable online/international payments
3. Try another card — use a different card or switch to bank transfer
4. Try again later — temporary bank outages can cause declines
