Sent to Wrong Recipient — What to Do
Steps to take if you sent money to the wrong recipient or entered incorrect bank details.
Wrong Recipient Details
If you entered incorrect recipient details, the steps you can take depend on the status of your transfer.
Transfer Is Still Processing
If your transfer has not yet been completed:
- Go to History in your dashboard
- Find the transfer and check its status
- If the status is Pending or Processing, you may be able to cancel it
- Click Cancel Transfer if the option is available
Transfer Already Completed
If funds have already been delivered to the wrong account:
- Contact our support team immediately with your transfer reference number
- We will work with the recipient bank to attempt a recall
- Bank recalls are not guaranteed and may take several business days
How to Avoid This
- Always double-check recipient bank details before confirming
- Use the Validate Account button to verify the account name matches your intended recipient
- Save verified recipients to your beneficiary list for future transfers
